Thanks! yeah I wanted to step away from traditional a little.. experiment with what would be a little more streamlined... easy to load and easy to drop a sheet of plywood or kayak or something.... rolleyes:

Well basket was 1" too deep! HA! dammit lol anyway... I had to replace the lower bars ( 1 so far and other 2 tomorrow... also finished front... now Ill be adding the light mounts and any mounts I can think of... next day or 2 and hopefully it will be installed by wednesday!!! pics coming in a min of progress... I could actually build this fast now... the first one off it hardest... lol once I figured out a few things it goes fast! I also ordered some HELLA 700FF lights ( what I could afford ) waiting on them to arrive sometime soon

Dang it Its raining my last day off.... crap! oh well... next week it will be complete! lol I did everything except install lights and run wires through frame of rack... will do that when my lighting arrives next week... Im going to relace cigarette ash tray for a multi switch housing and install my lighting in dash... or maybe Ill mount them in the blanks on the steering cluster area... it will look clean BTW I painted most of it... I just have 1 more clamp to braze on and I can finish paint and instal! also if you noticed, I had to cut the cross members out because they were too low and just touched top of disco.. didn't look close enough and the top is slightly bowed... anyway, I didn't really need them but I did shorten one and replace it.. will clean up weld later but now that our site on top in middle and this is avutally a little nicer setup because I can put rectangular items in basket instead of only ones with round edges lol the cut offs I have another idea for but I can always do that later...This paint I found is great! primer and paint al in one rustoleum ... the can is kinda drippy so wear gloves as it NEVER comes off your fingers lol... it seems very durable and even rolling rack orotund in lake gravel it just scuffed up sides some.. no buggy because I considered it primer anyway... and as soon as Im done Ill smooth sand rough spots ( only a couple where it was scratched moving it around ) Ill lay on a smooth final coat .. dries fast also

total was about $50 in 10x1/2 EMT and 10x3/4 EMT have enough left could build almost another or at least most of one! $15 in bar stock
another $5 in 3/8 bolts
$4x8 for ***** and washers ($32 )
paint was about $5 a can.. 5 cans... maybe could ave had it powder coated but this paint is really good! shown earlier but cans drip so I used rubber gloves lol
misc welding or brazing rod, and I had to fill my small portable 02 and acetylene tanks.. but have plenty left so Im not factoring that in.... rod maybe 10 rods of 1/8"
and for the Finally!
well first formal fitting.. lol
