Default Rain makes it run! Please help

I have been trying to figure out why my 96 disco runs horribly for many months I replaced plugs, wires, my Idle control valve, and an actuator. No I have finally figured out that when it is raining it runs like a dream any time else runs like crap. Why is the rai making it run good and how do I fix the problem?
Thanks

That's usually an air density issue, have you replaced your MAF? (Mass Airflow Sensor) or cleaned it?

Willie,
Why the dealer, your Bosch MAF can be bought on line for $125.

Rraven,
I would suggest you try to clean your MAF. The D1 has a pretty sturdy MAF, which unlike D2's that can't be cleaned, your's can but you really need to know what you are doing. Do you or have you had any fault codes, if so what fault code numbers have you been getting. By the way, if you don't have any fault codes for your MAF then leave it along.

Hey, is the D1 MAF electrically similar to the D2 one? Could it be retrofitted?
