Default What are the appropriate sealant alternatives?

The Rave says to use the following sealants:

STC 50550 - Sump gasket to block
STC 50554 - Oil dipstick tube
STC 50552 - Timing cover bolts

They are super expensive from LR, so I would like to use auto store alternatives if acceptable. What are the appropriate sealants for each?

Thanks
Bryan

I'm thinking the 50550 (oil pan sealant) could be replaced with black RTV, like Right Stuff or similar.

I also found some posts saying that 50552 (timing cover bolts) is thread locker, not sealant. If so, Permatex blue would be adequate.

Thoughts?
