Default 2006 LR3 Tire Alternatives

Need to buy set of new tires for LR3 HSE. Currently have Goodyear Wranglers 255/55 R19 and very loud. Any suggestions? Dealer is pushing same tire @ $400 each.

I just installed the Pirelli Scorpion Zeros 255/55 r19. They are quiet, smooth and they look great. The tread bite is more aggressive than the wranglers, but you would never know from the noise or handling. I'll let you know how they wear.

I gave up on the Wranglers. Got 20K miles on the first and second set. I went to Kuhmo (sp?) and had good experience.

Default Tire Alternatives

I have the General Tire "Grabbers" - they are ATs. I have not noticed any unacceptable noise and I am very happy with them.

No. No. No to Goodyear. The noise you are hearing is the result of cupping...uneven wear. I changed to Kumho (sp?) tires, made in Korea. They looked just like the Goodyears, but they were quiet and lasted much, much longer.

Just wondering how the scorpians were doing?
