see '98 Disco I - Good but economic fuel pump

Airtex E3270 - about $47 at Rock Auto, should just have to replace pump only.

Note: salvage yard pumps might be cheap, but they have sat without fuel (crystallizes inside), and Disco pumps have almost no clearance from bottom of tank. So when Boneyard Bubba moves the deceased Disco with the fork lift, the tank can squash and deform the pump assembly.

I agree, buy the 3270 and you will have a good motor.
By the way, what is wrong with yours?

There are 2 different fuel pumps for your truck.
Land Rover Parts, Accessories and Information
If you are having a mechanic do the work he will not rebuild your old fuel pump for you, all he is going to do is remove the old one and install the new one.
You can do that yourself, only takes 30 min or so with basic tools.
