Default 2008 LR2 Sound System Questions

Hi,

I just bought a used certified pre-owned 2008 Land Rover LR2 HSE and so far I love it!

But I have one problem: the sound system sucks!

My model is suppose to have the 9 speaker alpine system. But it just doesn't sound that great. I'm not much of an audiophile but I was expecting more than this. I'm actually wondering if there is something wrong with it or missing.

Do subwoofers come standard on the model? Because there is no difference whether I switch the subwoofer on or off so it must not be there.

Any feedback/help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

There is a standard, small subwoofer located in the back with the spare tire. Turn on a CD with some good bass, take a walk back there and open the lid that covers the spare tire and see what's happening.
Also, be sure that the subwoofer level is adjusted properly in the settings. Check the manual for exact instructions.

I've found I'm continually adjusting the system to get the best sound. A little different from the Bose system in my old vehicle - sounded awesome from day one. I don't think I ever needed to adjust it. Good luck.

I turned the bass all the way up and the subwoofer about 3/4 way up and it sounds pretty good.
