Default 2008 LR3 Engine System Fault

This message showed up on my dashboard "Engine System Fault" and my engine starts to rough idle. What does this mean? I have a 2008 LR3 V8.

If you have an '08, sounds like your still under warranty so I recommend taking it to the dealer. Although if your over the 50,000 mile limit then stay away from them, they will rape you every which way possible.

Need more info on your LR3:
What has changed? (ie: driving habits, inclement weather, power washed engine bay, etc.??)

HI, I am going through my second TDV6 in 3 years. First "Engine system fault" at +- 6400kms. At 15 months, 2 turbos and 27500kms later threw it back and bought a new one! Yes, bought a new one! At 25300kms the same problem again! "Engine system fault". "No fault" shown on the diagnostic computer in the workshop! It was implied that I am lying about the problem but black smoke and no power, as with the first one, is no lie! Potentially a life threatening problem!

OK, this happened to me today. Its been 20 degrees for 4 days now. I drove my LR3 the past three days just fine. I go to start it today and she won't ... just engine system fault, and a host of others. What did you find out?
Thanks,
Russell
