Hello All -

I have just moved back to the USA from London and am looking at buying a high mileage LR4 (90k). Being in the UK where everyone drives a LR/RR, I find it hard to believe more people don't drive them here. With that being said, Are there specific issues owners have had buying higher mileage LR4? I am only going to put about 3k-5k mils on it a year so look at that as being a mitigation to the high mileage?

I'd love to hear from LR4 owners who have 90k+ miles on their trucks. I am looking at a 2010/2012 LR4 HSE, both of which have had front control arms replaced and are covered under CPO until 100k miles. Both cars are 2nd owner and have ben dealer maintained throughout history.

Need some advice to push me over the edge and ease the high mileage fears!

 

My LR3 has a little over 100k miles and hasn't fallen apart yet. It will need a front differential soon though.

Since you're only doing 3-5k miles per year I wouldn't be worried about it especially considering they're both under CPO as it is. Get the 2012, drive it and get anything/everything fixed before the warranty runs out.

 

Thanks for the advice. I am leaning towards the 12 as well (1 year warranty remaining). Although for the same price I found a 2010 Range Rover Sport with 75k miles on it (no warranty) and it is tempting me!
