Cool Sam from Texas

Hello new guy to the forum, I have a 95 Discovery V8 3.9L. Got it for $1,800. Just wanted another 4x4 to have as an extra truck. Learned about the fan clutch and the condensor fan motor( 94-95 corolla uses the same motor) on this forum. So I thought why not join and share my repair exp with my disco here.

Well when I bought the truck i didn't know it had no thermostat in it untill I replaced the water pump(the fan clutch was a beast to remove). Noticed the truck would run fine on the hwy but once I was on the street it would run hot. So I called around(after seeing a thread here about the clutch) and replaced the clutch now it runs fine. I also changed the three hoses for the powersteering. Changed the lower radiator hose when I noticed a small leak. After market hose is much better, it allows you to change the hose in parts and not as a whole.

Info on my truck, it has the jump seats and two moon roofs. Came with a front brush guard.

Hope I find this site helpful and hope I can be helpful to others.

Great news! Glad to see that we could be of service, even if we didn't hear from you. So post early and often, and download your own copy of the RAVE tech manuals.
