Angry Buying Used Landrover Parts

WARNING! WARNING! WARNING!

Before you buy any used landrover parts, DO NOT GO TO ROVERLAND PARTS out of Tampa, FL. I purchase a CPU unit from them for my Disco I because I was told I could not purchase a new one any more. Very risky, but I talked to them and they assured me that it would work. Paid $595.00 for it plus shipping and handling, got it, took it to my Landrover mechanic, and it did not work. Called them and they sent a second one. Again, it did not work. I sent them both back, however, they would not issue my money back, only a store credit. I ended up trading up my Disco I for an LR3. Every time I went to look for something to use the store credit on, the only item I could find that would work was running boards, however, the NEVER HAD THEM IN STOCK. When I finally approached them about it and asked just to get my money back for the parts that I returned, they told me that the store credit expired. So they got the parts back, and all I ended up with was a $595.00 lesson, not including the extra $100.00 I spent on shipping the parts to me and back to them. I alway buy my parts from Atlantic British, never a problem, had an exsaust system the went bad after 6 months, within 2 days I had a new one at my door, no questions asked. They did not have the CPU unit I was looking for so I tried this option. Please do not make the same mistake I did. Would not even call me back to discuss, only sent me an email. Very unprofessional.

Wow.
Good to know.
I always use Atlantic British, Rovahfarm or a local salvage yard when possible.
I may pay more by buying from AB but I have never had any problems and I always get the part in 3 days if I use FedEx Home Delivery.
