Default WTB 4.6 rebuildable core

Looking for a 03-04 4.6 liter rebuildable engone core, in the Philadelphia/NJ area.

I'd like to take my time building up a stout 4.6 replacement for the inevitable engine failure in my 03 Disco II.

Looking for a reasonably priced core.

You can also expand that search to Range Rover 4.6 engines as well. Less likely to have the issues the later Disco blocks had.

You can even look for GEMS 4.6L's from '96-mid '99. I have a shop in NYC that buys every 4.6L GEMS block I can get my hands on. They prefer GEMS 4.6L's to Bosch any day of the week. I know this might start an argument about how the Bosch 4.6L's were graded and there's a dab of paint on the block to tell which one is best, blah, blah, blah. From what I've seen, I have to agree with my customer in NYC. Fewer issues the earlier the block.

According to the references the grading started in 97/98, so most of the GEMS 4.6 would have been graded blah, blah, blah.

I have a 4.6, everything is there but alternator, starter, and PS pump. It ran great except for blown HGs. Would need to be shipped though since I'm in Fort Lauderdale, FL. $600 +shipping

Thanks, but I'm hoping for something local. I'm in no hurry. I'd like to find a good core, have my machinist do the short block, and then build up a bullet proof motor knowing the existing 4.6 will inevitably fail.
