Good morning all,

I realize since this is my 1st post, and that this post should be in the newbie area, but I believe i'm having an issue with my Range I purchased a little over a week ago. It's a 2010 Range Rover HSE Luxury edition, 65,xxx miles on it.

On a recent road trip from the Harrisburg, PA area to Philadelphia, about 110 mile one-way trip, the low coolant warning came on. So i stopped at the 1st auto parts place i could find and got coolant.

After the return trip from Philly to Harrisburg, same distance, i checked the coolant level, and it was low again (no light), but i let it go this time, figured i'd let the motor cool off and see if the levels went back up, which they did.

The last few days the Range has run fine, until this morning. I started the Range up around 9am, and the motor was ticking, and there was a good amount of visible exhaust coming out. Temps in the area was around 60 degrees fahrenheit when i started it, so there is no reason for visible exhaust.

Asked a mechanic buddy, and he said it sounds like a head gasket going bad. Fact or fiction?

have your cooling system pressure tested to make sure it is not a simple leak.
