aftermarket stereo in LR3 - Land Rover Forums

I am looking for some options on how to replace the stereo system in my 2005 Landrover LR3 .What options are out there and has anyone done any upgrades and what were they?

The LR3 has the stereo hooked up through the ECU. It will void your warranty if you change anything.

I have heard it is a nightmare to try and do. I would like to hear from someone who has done it.

I basically added a new stereo system minus the speakers. The equipment I added gives me the option of using my factory system or the stereo I installed. Read my only other post, it should help you out. If you happen to take the route I took you'll be able to add alot more equipment then I did. The main component of my system is the Kenwood KOS-V500. Kenwood also has a newer version out, I believe it's the KOS-V1000, Do a little research on that.. Hope I helped.
