Description:
I need at least part of the drivers side window wiper hole to the drivers fender. Can be in one to several parts so long as it can be glued together enough to be a template for reproduction.
is also like to buy the little rubber flap that hangs over the drivers side..
Thanks ahead of time!
The one in the pic is 97% complete, I just need to glue it together.
I have already purchased one from a fellow member. I was able to finish gluing it together late last week. I don't have a time line on when I will be able to work with the fiberglass. I've not even had time to test fit it since I glued it together. I took 2 and made one.
For time crunch purposes it may be easier to clean/rough up the glued together cowl, coat with epoxy resin and then lay 2 layers of thin/flexible fiberglass over top of it. Once it cures repeat for the back. The epoxy resin I use has zero uv tolerance so it needs to be painted. It can be filled smooth and sanded before painting. If you can lay it Jesus walks on water perfect you can paint it raw finished to look like carbon fiber weave. I cant do the latter...most of the time.
I'm still game planning on how I'd reinforce the screen area. My slow winter season ended up way busier than I anticipated, I've not come close to completing any of my winter projects.
