Default “Auto” Trip Meter function??

Has anyone figured out the “Auto” Trip meter function? There is Trip Bank A, Trip Bank B, and then there is “Auto”. What is it, and a How do you use it?

I’ve read the iGUIDE but it still doesn’t make sense to me, and therefore cannot figure out a use case for it. I want to know if I as am missing something cool and perhaps useful…Lol

thanks

Auto displays your current trip stats. Resets to new data each trip. Toggle through the details as desired or display on the PIVI screen in a panel or on the main PIVI.

trip bank A and B are two other data sets that you can use as desired. Same viewing options.

they are cumulative multi-trip data.

Reset them, display them as desired.

Practically speaking, all AUTO trip does is reset every time you start a new trip.

So -- it goes back to zero every time you restart the car.

There is more to it than that, and that’s why I am asking the question. I realize that “Auto” resets to zero each drive. However, the manual talks about how you can press and hold the reset button for a second and it then “adds” or “subtracts” the mileage from Trip A or B into the Auto bank. I’m trying to figure out what that specifically means. Just curious
