1st Edition Ordered - Anyone else in for one?
#11
Hi Adam:
Ordered my First Addition yesterday, Pangea Green/Acorn:
The First Addition pretty much comes with everything. I would have liked a few wheel options, like the 20" X model dark grey versions. I added a few extras, rear bumper scuff plate, roof cross bars, basic interior protection pack, 3rd row seats, and off-road tires.
My understanding is Land Rover had Goodyear manufacture a one-off all terrain tire to their specifications specifically for the new Defender, Wrangler Kevlar AT. Size is is as you stated 255/60/R20. My understanding also is a 32" tire is the max without air suspension mods.
Use the car for a while and see how it does for your purposes before trying alternate tires. It appears most capable off the self.

It made it!
Mine is in!
Bad News first...
So somehow they didn't put on the snorkel with my explorer pack and just credited $800, the part alone is $830 but calls for 6 hours and door removal, I of course am not paying all of that and said I ordered it with how did I get the "Lite Explorer Pack", anyways he said it'll be on in a couple days. They were preparing the car and something about uploading the GPS maps with a USB drive that I guess they don't have? So they are waiting on that also. I should've had it today but I'm gonna wait on that Snorkel and he said the GPS should be done before that. The snorkel is like $2K after the fact I just don't understand why they didn't install it? Gotta wait a couple months on the ladder also (according to dealer).
Oh also my trade.. 44k for a Lux w/Vision and 22k miles.. Killin me, I'll sale it myself.
Good News!
Pics? If I can make it work.
Anyone else's in??

I'll definitely have one test fitted by next week Sir. I'm really into the Toyo tires but not sure what I'll use yet. The dealer told me the parts should be in Monday and hopefully they will be installed the same day. In really looking forward to getting it and I'm hoping Monday night or Tuesday, the LR dealer is about a 2 hour drive for me though. How's it drive? I'm coming from a D5, is it smooth and quiet like that? Visibility? Is she FAST?! I'll get you pictures of that tire clearance asap.
