Default 20-24 Defender fastener for the interior of the rear tailgate?

Does anyone know what the part number for this fastener is for the interior of the rear tailgate?

looking for one myself but having scoured the part diagrams I have yet to find anything :-(

Neither the door or the turn locks are listed as individual parts.

Just call your dealer and let him give you the part number for it.

Called the dealer and they claim - can't get the part separately - need to spend $600 to get the entire back panel - lol

Might be something that you could 3D print. If you've got the other one, use it as a model. I might be able to whip up a STEP file for it....

Ouch, that is ridiculous. Another avenue to check on would be junk dealers There are plenty of Defenders that have been totaled and parted out.

I looked at the parts diagrams and couldn’t find this twisty bit on there either, which is odd. (or the door flap where the triangle goes even, not on diagrams)

I would agree best bet is ebay for someone parting out one is best best. Super weird, isn’t it?

There are times when JLR realizes this and issues what is called a “service part” that is an addendum to the parts system. Maybe this is one of those?

Porsche does this alot - to replace the smallest removable piece of an interior panel, you have to replace the entire door panel if buying parts from Porsche. It’s rather wasteful.

Hi Melburnian - i do still need to fix this missing fastner (drives me crazy seeing it missing when I open up the tailgate) - if you've got something, would love to get a couple from you.

Please let me know.
