Default 2021 P400 Pickup Day

Well, after 3 months of waiting, one broken rear glass window(yes, the one I ordered is still sitting inside with the broken window when I picked the new one up), and not the car I ordered, I finally picked up my new Defender yesterday. The vehicle is so nice! Rides great! Very quick to respond! I live 40 miles from the dealership so I had an opportunity to drive highway and back roads, it was a super fun ride home! The technology in this thing is unreal! I am going to have to study the manual, I have to get use to where everything is. It was well worth the wait!

I have one question, the auto brake thing when you stop, I disabled it from the screen, so it was off. However when you push your foot to the floor, it comes back on, is this something I have to go into settings to change or is this a default setting with the car? Seems strange the short cut doesn’t complete turn it off 🤷‍♂️

cheers to all!

Congrats on getting your rig. Nice one — glad you found the one that works.

This is the only photo I have from the dealership, it is going back in the next couple of weeks to add window tinting, mud flaps, wheel arches. My dealer is having staffing issues with Covid and people not wanting to work, service is backed up. I will post more photos once that is all done

Have you disabled both "On Demand Hold" and "Enhanced Hill Hold" from the Settings > Vehicle > Convenience > Brake Hold menu? They are separate features. On Demand Hold must be turned off if you want to avoid the brakes from auto holding when you push the pedal firmly. I believe it's on by default on a new vehicle.
