2021P400 - 1 Month/500 Mile Update
Well, 1 month, 500 Miles, mud flaps and wheel arches installed and here we are. The Defender is performing well! I live in Northeast Ohio, so it has seen it’s fair share of different road conditions. Highway driving has been great and quiet. The P400 performance on the highway has tons of power when you need it! The vehicle is fun to drive, very comfortable, and has tons of room! The family loves it! The technology of the Defender is great! Lots to get used to and learn about! I have been checking out all of the settings, i have not had an update yet.
Questions. Is there anyway to turn off two things,
one the easy exit of the driver seat?
Two, the folding of the mirrors when you lock it?
Three, anyone have any dimensions from the ground to the top of the factory cross bars?
Negative
not a big deal, but I do have the front end drop after so long of it being parked, I see someone else started a thread on that, not a big deal to me at this point, but will continue to follow on here, I will ask the dealer when it goes in for service and yes, I am servicing at 5k Miles.
Closing, I really enjoy the vehicle! It was the right choice for me! I cannot wait for this Covid Crap to be under control/over or whatever the heck you want to call it! opens the country up so me and the family can take this thing on a road trip!

To turn off easy entry/exit mode and prevent driver seat and steering wheel from moving when exiting or entering the.car, flip the power steering adjustment **** on the left of the steering column from Auto to manual mode.
AFAIK, only the dealer can disable the mirrors autofold when locking or unlocking the car, via diagnostics.

Easy entry exit in the real world - program memory 1 with your driving position and memory 2 with max seat clearance - i.e go to furthest back position. Easy entry/exit only really works on the highest wheel / lowest seat positions and not furthest apart config (which my Porsche 911 does extremely well). It is annoying as I'm a big guy and need the entry options and this is the only way I've made it comfortable in real-world use since I already use the lowest seat and highest steering wheel positions but when driving I want closer wheel/seat config.
Btw it works well with flat seat (memory 2) vs tailored bolsters in driving config (memory 1) for easy access / exit.
