Can anyone test this on their defender? It might have to be in a dark area or at night to work?
I just tried with my pathetic flashlight and couldn’t get anything to happen, it’s still pretty bright here in Tampa, but as soon as it gets a bit darker I’m going to use my other one to back out of the garage and pull up behind it and then try again, and will video any effect it may have and post my findings..!

I popped one of the covers off on my 2022 SE to put on the chequer protection corner. It has a wire and what looks like two sensors on a flat mount in the cover. It’s not mentioned anywhere in the installation guide.

do you think this could be a fix they quietly implemented?

Curious if you managed to replicate this. Our D90 is back at the shop for the AC fix and will be there for a couple weeks (we are traveling for next two weeks), so would be great that if this is real it could be fixed as well, as once we pick it up again it will be two weeks of road trip on it!

Has anyone in North America picked up their new Defender in the last couple days? I'd be anxious to see if this issue really is "stopping the sale" of Defenders...

My ‘22 order is supposedly on a truck for delivery to dealership. I’m getting a bit nervous since the dealership said they expected it Friday or this weekend at the latest and I have not heard anything from them yet.

EDIT: Just got confirmation. Defender is ready for pickup. No mention of stop sales

I picked up my 2022 110 yesterday afternoon in Toronto, Canada. No problem here.

I will forward this thread to my dealer to see what he knows about it.

Must not be all Defenders. Picking mine up on Monday and ran the VIN on it with NHTSA and no recalls listed. I'd think they would have to declare a recall if this was the root cause. Perhaps it's some trim levels.

Just returned from spending 3+ hours at the dealer picking up what I thought would be my build. Well, it was not exactly what I ordered, but that is another thread. I did ask about the "no sale" order and was given the Aftersales Bulletin - it technically is a "Notification of Safety Recall" for which a total 2,622 vehicles are affected. Model year is 2020-2022
VIN numbers between: SALEX7EU0L2016027 and SALEX7RU1N2072300

My particular defender was outside of that VIN range so was not affected.
