VIN numbers between: SALEX7EU0L2016027 and SALEX7RU1N2072300

My particular defender was outside of that VIN range so was not affected.
Well that’s disappointing. What didn’t match up and did the dealer do anything to make things right?

Uh, oh. My VIN is SALEP7RU7N2069448, which appears at least from the last 7 digits to fall in that range. It was built 5/13 and due to be delivered 7/9. I wonder if I'll still be able to take delivery? Still not showing any recall on the NHTSA website (not sure how up to date that is). Anyone falling in the VIN range been able to take delivery in the last few days?

Just looking at the numeric portion of the VIN mine falls into that range as well, but I wonder if the impact is only to those with 'SALEX' VINs which I assume are all X models? Mine is an X-Dynamic, but the VIN doesn't include an X.
Mine was just offloaded at the Baltimore port on 6/7 and the dealer said he'd contact me as soon as it arrives on the lot. We'll see what happens!

UPDATE:

My Defender X showed up at the dealership yesterday. My VIN also falls within that range.

My sales rep text me the following yesterday.

”The stop sell just came out Thursday of this week. So that shuts us all down now. Hopefully They can get this resolved…”

The sales rep also stated this applies to all Defender trims.

I searched my VIN on LR’s recall product page and no recalls were listed for my VIN.

Tomorrow I will call the dealership GM to get a definitive answer.

I've attached the Notification of Safety Recall N598 regarding the tail light issue.

I picked up our special ordered MY22 110 on 6/5. I’ve had a couple of software updates from the dealer already but otherwise seems great.

I can’t figure out how to determine if my VIN is affected. How do you read the affected ranges? My VIN is SALEP7RU4…

Thanks for posting this! Pretty much explains mine and the dealer’s predicament for taking delivery before replacement of defective parts.

Now to wait on LR to supply the dealer the replacement parts, uggh wonder how long that will take!

I read it as not being included because P comes before X. I also have a similar VIN to you on my 2021 P400 SE.

Thanks. I’ve put exactly 57 miles on the car so far, but I love it. Coming from a 2019 D5 diesel (and we have a MY20 RR), but there is something special about this car.
