Default 2023 Defender Height with OEM Roof Rack

I have seen multiple threads with approximate or estimated heights from ground to top of roof OEM Roof Rack. Does anyone have a confirmed total height at normal and then lowered heights?

Add 53mm to the height of your Defender. That is found in the vehicle dimensions tab in Pivi and adjusts depending on the suspension setting. (Access, regular and off-road)

They really should have a "Genuine Expedition Roof Rack on" option (and a separate manually-input setting...) in the Pivi so you can check a box and it updates the ride heights.

It would be so cool to edit the dimesions in Pivi. Fyi my D90 is 90 inches to the top of the roof lights (my high spot) 😃

Ouch, that is what I was afraid of. I was hoping it was closer to 6'7.

Thanks.

can any kind person tell me exactly how much higher the LR roof rack is more than the fin (rear camera ) on the roof. I have a very low garage

second question is: how easy it is to get on and off? 15 min job?

thanks !

Don't know the first part of the question without measuring things, but I'll take a stab at the second one. It is at least a 3 person job and likely to take 30 mins+. Definitely should get faster over time as you practice things. It's very straight forward. Two bolts in tight spaces at four points if you want to remove the feet from the vehicle for maximum clearance. Two easy bolts at four points if you just want to lift the rack off and leave the feet attached. Definitely not something I'd want to do to park the thing on a semi-regular basis. One thing to consider is that if you have air-bags you can lower it to Access mode. If you are smarter than me and push the button each time! Good luck.

I assume 7' minimum for parking garages (which is a pain in the northeast, because many are substantially lower than that). Even then I have picked up some scratches on the rear of the rack from presumably lower roofs that are mislabeled.

Always nice to see a VW golf or similar parked in the overheight vehicles area at BDL airport - it's not like there are four other floors of garage you could have used!
