I'm still getting stalling messages from my dealer who insists that the semi-conductor supply is easing. He said July originally and he's sticking with that but I don't think he has any additional info. I suspect the semi-conductor shortage will also stall the Grenadier. Grenadier info also drying up, still no news on economy (20 mpg local is my guess) and very little so far on the on-road performance. We all know the Grenadiers are great off-road vehicles but how good are they on the road? My on-road test drive of Def 110 was good though a little spongier than I'd hoped. I've been hedging my bets with deposits for 110 and Grenadier but, much as I love the Grenadier's looks and as good as the early feed back has been, I'm thinking that the overall 110 package is better. I do a lot of M-way driving to Scotland, then a few miles of off-roading when I get there. I liked the Grenadier for it's hose-down interior drain holes - a lot of mud where I live, plus muddy dogs, but I can keep carpets out of 110 so shouldn't be a problem there. I'm not planning an Africa overland so simplicity (of Genadier) less of a pull and I do like air suspension.
PS. A mate who has a 110 is selling his as he's found it's too big for him (it will still fetch the price he paid for it a year ago). Biggest obstacle for me has been wife saying car is too big for her and she felt sick on the test drive. Am getting one anyway.
