I ordered a 2022 Defender 110 P300 S on 5/12/21 with a handover date of 9/3/21. Being told now that they don't have an estimated date for me, might be sometime in November but could be earlier and that they won't find out for another month. I need a vehicle for September so having a tough time with the uncertainty.

The vehicle was supposed to start build yesterday. Just wanted to see if others have estimated delivery dates that are so vague, months apart. I'm located in Toronto.

If you follow the 2022 orders thread it should help a bit more, but it seems like you got unlucky and your truck just didn't make it through before they shut down production. I was a bit more fortunate and mine is already on the train to vancouver from halifax, but I did place my order back in january. You must have gotten lucky and found a dealer with allocation they could re-purpose for you. Anyway I don't think there is any news on when production will re-open. There is talk of them getting things rolling by removing some items that are impacted by the chip shortage, you'd think they would need to confirm those changes with you before making them.

Either way it's probably safe to say if your delivery date was 9/3 and has since become unknown that it most likely won't arrive in September.

 

Looks like 2023 is a more likely.......
