Land Rover's agency is making careless errors... Look just above the stripes in the top mage vs the bottom image. Both pics on the press release. It seems they uploaded the unretouched and retouched images removing shadows on the side of the Defender.
Odd that it has the Michelin road tires. The only thing the Goodyear Adventure "off road" tires are good at is sand. The tread pattern has decent sand grip and is shallow enough that they don't dig. I've seen Wranglers with mud tires get stuck in sand because the tread pattern just digs straight down in sand.
Then again, other than sand driving, the Goodyears are useless, especially in winter.
Simply not true. It depends on terrain. I’ve taken my 110S with coils on very challenging trails in central Pennsylvania (https://www.rc4x4.org) more than once on the stock Goodyear Adventures aired down to 18 psi. I kept up with the Wranglers and Tacomas on a Jeep “Badge of Honor” trail. I could have used more ground clearance (glad for my sliders and eyeing Ralf Sarek’s coil spring lift), but the tires were just fine.
That was packed dirt and rocks, not mud, snow or slick rock. So your experience may vary. And yes, when the Goodyears wear out I’ll get something else. But for what I used them for - much more challenging than just a dirt road - they were fine.
I actually just picked up a set of the fake steelie 20s off Marketplace. Powder coating them, not using the big plastic center caps, exposed lugs and standard LR center cap.
As for this edition? Meh. I come from the Jeep world and seen this so many times. Gives them a press release, keeps people talking about the vehicle.
Today JLR announced the 2025 Defender 110 Beach Break Edition. It is basically just a P300 S in Tasman Blue with colored graphics similar to the County Pack, and the fake 20" steel lookalike wheels. The graphics are inspired by the beaches of Montauk NY, Malibu CA, and the North Shore of Oahu, HI. It is limited to 20 units priced at $71,700 and only available in North America. I've linked the press release below.
Why would anyone want this? The orange graphics over Tasman Blue look tacky to me.
Seems Land Rover is not the only ones that seem to have lost their minds with the wild sticker pkgs. LOL
Looks like there is going to be similar look available on the 2025 Bronco.

Just throw some fake wood paneling stickers on the side and call it a day!
