Has your dealer given you any info on what they suggest you buy from the dealership/JLR for warranty coverage?

I bought the 8year plan, zero deductible for $5382.98., this was for a 2025 P525 110.
Told my wife she was keeping it for 10 years so this made sense to me to take the warranty out as far as I could go through the dealership.

Nice Defender! ... would that cover the electronics? If I break a metal part, I get that. but the electronics is different as there's likely to be no indication it's about to fail. you can't really do any "preventative maintenance" on that Pivi system controlling everything from your heat to the 4x4 modes. There are likely many small chips in there controlling everything from sensors to ignition. If your plan covers the potential failure of an electrical component, program, or chip, that seems fair and a prudent purchase. I would do as you did and get the coverage. If it's just parts, I'm not sure as the Defender seems pretty strong on components. what stuff did folks decline? What else are the dealers offering?

It covers all bumper to bumper, zero deductible minus obviously normal wear and tear items.
I also bought my wife the Ceramic coating LR paint and fabric protection, I believe it was 5 years for $2395.00, LR dent protection which was 4years? $415.00, and the LR tire and wheel I believe 5 years $1391.00

Did they offer windshield coverage?
I was offered Tire/Wheel/Dents/Keyfob and Windshield coverage for $3000 Canadian for 4 years (about $2200USD)
It covers windshield replacements up to $6500 CAD ($4800 USD)
Is that a good deal?

Living in Florida windshield coverage is free under our insurance policy. I have never paid for a new windshield while living in this state. Other states have different insurance/windshield rules. Florida car insurance is expensive, but the windshield piece is a perk.

Default Pivi glitch fixes in 2025?

We have a US 2020 110 HSE and ever since a random nav/control/entertainment system software update years ago, the radio and Bluetooth functionality has been glitchy. Yesterday, we were driving and could not select a radio station. The day before that, CarPlay just stopped working after a couple hours. Sometimes Bluetooth shuts down or won’t switch devices.

does anyone know if these issues will be remedied on the 2025 models?

I’ve had my 2025 for close to 3 weeks and have none of those issues thus far. So far so good 🤞

The infotainment system is exactly the same, and the software is also the same depending on what version you're running. Sounds like yours actually has something wrong with it. I'd take it to the dealer and have them force the latest update or see if any of the modules are at fault.
