22" Rims! Swap Them or go offroading in them! w/ Pics

I've listed my research if helps anyone. Haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet. Anyone have experiance with anything here or opinions? One thing to note: the stock wheels are a load index of 112 so tire shops aren't supposed to install anything lower. I was shocked at how many 275/50's had a load index less than 112 and so didn't make the cut. For example, in my post above, the Open Country's in 275/50 are only 111 load index (and so "legally" not supposed to use).
My gut tells me the Terrain Contact A/T's may not be tough enough for handling most anything--especially sharp Southwest desert rocks. But be great if I was wrong...

Hey! Do you have a defender S, SE, or X? I have a P400 SE, came with the 20" wheels. Also have a 2 inch proud rhino lift on it. I really like the 22", and i was told all the defender's have the same bolt pattern and stuff that i can put the 22" on my SE. I bought 285/45/R22 ridge grapplers and the 22" inch tires, took them to 3 different tire shops to mount and balance, and before they even put the tires on the wheels, they tested the wheel fitment, and they all said they wont fit. Any ideas?
