Talking 275/55/20 BFG Ko2 w/ 30MM Spacers installed

I wanted to do something that was short and wide. The factory “off road” tires are boring to me. I also wanted a wider foot print.

I used H&R 30MM spacers front and rear and 275/55/20 BFG Tires.

There is no rubbing at all on or off road at normal or off road height. Haven’t tried access height.

I will take some better pics tomorrow after I get my windows tinted.

That looks great! Nice and beefy looking.

When you have a chance can you get a picture from behind so I can see how far the wheel/tire package sticks out beyond the fender?

Looks great! Thank you for getting the pictures of the front and rear so we can see how the wheel/tire still sits mostly inside the wheel wells. So a 30mm spacer got your tire and wheel almost flush with the fender tops as far as I can tell. It looks like it should have from the factory.

I'm going a slightly different route but I should get a similar result. The wheel I have purchased will get the outer lip of the wheel about 20mm closer to the fender lip than what stock is. I'm going both wider and slightly taller than stock. The stock, off-road Goodyear tire is an honest 32" tall and has a tread with of 8.7". The section width is a stated 10.9" as measured on a 8.5" wheel. I chose a Yohohama Geolandar MT-g003 in size 33x12.5R20 It is just slightly taller at 32.7" but is wider in both tread and section width at 10.2" and 12.6" measured on a 10" wheel.

I always mention what the tire was measured on because a slightly narrower wheel will make the tire measure just a bit smaller in width and the opposite is true for measuring on a wider wheel.

Last thing off topic here: Love the bike! I bought my wife a new Specialized Turbo Levo this year and it is super fun to ride! I can only imagine yours is just as fun. I got it for her because she couldn't ride due to an injury many years ago. We have now taken two trips to the mountains in CO to ride. That would have never happened before!

Whelp, now I know what I am doing. Damn that looks good.

I ordered the 18' wheels, but the spacers should be the same right? Surely the rim width is the same.

Which swingaway are you using with your bike rack and do you like it? Did you also have to get an extender? Looks great!

Anyone know if 285/65R18s will fit? Just picked up my Defender yesterday and want some mud terrains. KM3s come in 33 by 12.5 width and 285/65 R18 (11.2 inch width and 32.6) tire. Height should be fine, but want to be sure it wont rub. I don't want to cut anything yet.

Careful with anything with an OD greater than 32”. Some guys (in the forum) have installed 265/60 R20 (~32.56) and have had some rubbing with full turns.

Adding a 30mm spacer is the equivalent of what offset? May give some people options for using other Rover wheels.
