Default 5 Black Steelies for sale - Denver, CO

5 Defender steel wheels - never been mounted in perfect black finish. $1200 for a set of 5. Bought for my new Defender 90, but decided to stick with the alloys. All 5 are perfect, bagged and boxed. TPMS, lug nuts or center caps are NOT included- wheels only! (I'm sure everyone on this forum knows this, but just in case - these wheels will work on D90 or D110 without mods as long as they have the smaller brake calipers that are on the 4cyl. models (P300 i4) . 6 or 8 Cylinder models with the larger brakes will need wheel spacers/caliper mod kit from Lucky 8 or other supplier. I only included 1 picture because all 5 are perfect with zero blemishes. Will ship within the US (shipping cost not included in the price). thanks!

Wow! Great price. I bought my black ones (Trek Edition overstock) from LK8 for about $500 more than that if I recall correctly.

My experience with using them on a P400, after much trial and error, is:

Front: no change to brakes, remove the little mud-scraping puck, no spacers. If I run spacers in the front I get tire rub from my OEM size 255/70-18 RT-style tires (Cooper Discoverer Rough Trek), which are actually 0.5” taller than the OEM 20” Goodyears that came with the truck.

Rear: LK8 brake calipers, a little bit of filing on the outer housing of those calipers (the wheels gently scrape a bit on first go, and you can see from that where to grind), and 25mm spacers required. Even still they couldn’t get a satisfactory balancing job with the stick-on weights so we went with they old-school style that crimp onto the rim. I Sharpied them black for aesthetics. These are my off-road wheel/tire setup; I still run the OEM 20s most of the time.

Thanks for the reply. you have a GREAT looking rig!! I bought these wheels for my 90 to fit a larger tire for off road (I currently have the 19's which I have pretty much just 1 choice for an offroad/AT tire). Thank you for sharing your experience, sounds like there is more to consider than just a lift and potentially spacers. I found that there is a lot of conflicting/confusing information out there on larger tire fitment. I spent hours on this forum reading everyone's post on this matter and it's hard to know what to believe. It seems like so many have had such different experiences with rubbing, etc. I have the 4cyl, so the brakes are not an issue for mine, but I read that 90's cannot have a larger than 32" tire without significant mods. Not sure why that would be different than a 110, but I am not about to drop an additional $1700 on tires to test it out. My loss is someone else's gain - these are beautiful wheels! Again, I LOVE your setup! Cheers!
