Activating ACC and other features via Pathfinder App
#12
FYI - I updated the first post with a reference to the following DoIP VCE pass through interface that I’m researching. Although reports indicate that it’s compatible with Pathfinder and other DoIP compatible Land Rovers, I have some outstanding questions to the vendor and need to do some more searching to see if works properly with our 2020+ Defenders. If the results of the research are positive, I’ll probably purchase one of these devices and run the grand experiment of using Pathfinder + Topix account + CCF Editor to see if I can get ACC activated (amongst other activations).
VXDIAG VCX SE for JLR with DoIP (pass through device) - $239
This note is a bit concerning: “JLR TOPIX has banned all Third-party devices from accessing their server. Recommend to take Optional SDD and Pathfinder HDD together. With HDD, can do same programming and coding functions without online access.”
I wonder if the vendor modifies a copy of the Pathfinder app to work with their non-OEM DoIP VCE interface…

Hi everyone,
I've already done the experiment...
the vxdiag vcx +hdd jlr data tool works for the basic characteristics of the vehicle, for example I managed to calibrate the headlights after updating the matrix, then you can bleed the brakes with the guided procedure, many small things.
but don't talk about ccf, being an offline connection it doesn't read vbf files, so no ccf editor........
I bought it because I use it and I have it. very happy with the gap tool, given the difficulties in activating acc and tr2, I wanted pathfinder to work on the DADC ecu and be able to set: learn central configuration, on the ecu functions.
unfortunately vxdiag doesn't let you access the ecu functions, so nothing new.

Interesting progress made with the JET Pro software from Autosvs and a $14 cable from Amazon:
https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic90062.html
No dependency on DoIP adapters and JLR Pathfinder and TOPIx Cloud.
The UX seems more complicated than the Gap IIDTool and the option of paying $99 for each 72 hours of programming hours seems like kind of a hassle, but it could be a cost effective solution for the use case of programming ACC and a few other features.
I ordered a cable and will give it a go. Based on my results, I’ll update this thread.

UPDATE
For a cost of $114 USD, I was successful in using the JET-Pro software app ($99 for a 72-hour license) and a $15 OBDII dongle from Amazon to activate Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and other popular features on my 2021 D90 First Edition. See the following thread for details on how people have successfully used this combination:

Using WhatsApp to get support from autosvs.com was the most effective approach for me.
