It’s easy to look up the parts and the company is called LR Retrofits google them. They can do remote activations. They just need a service advisor you can bribe.

There was no need to bribe anyone. The retailer was reasonable and considered itself that the approach of the LR headquarters was not responsive and the parts purchased by the customer would have been useless without being operational. I'm happy for their supportive and professional approach.

Thanks, @mopadzi ! Who did you have do the install of the parts? The dealer, yourself, 3rd party?

Huh... this is interesting. I spec'd a 2020 (with clearsight), ended up purchasing a 2021 P300, thought clearsight was standard (it was not), contacted LR Retrofits in September and asked if the Retrofit was possible, and gave up when I got this response:

"Yes, it is, but unfortunately it is not something that is advised at the moment due to the ridiculous price of the parts needed. The current estimate is around £1800 in parts alone."

GrouseK9, I'm in New Orleans, and my local dealerships say there's no way. If you find the parts and a dealer to get it to work in the US, please let me know, I'd definitely drive it to Austin to get it done.

Will do. Parts are crazy expensive these days, but most of these parts can be found via different salvage sources. My process is to patiently scour the auction & salvage sites until I've collected all the parts and then search for the install. I'll send data when done. I anticipate it may take me 2-3 mos to get everything done, then installed, then flashed. So.... stay tuned!

So, I looked into that company which does mods - LR RETROFITS. So far, no answer from them to my email. No phone either, and they have no physical shop at the moment.
According to their page, they only serve a limited area around the greater London area in UK.
How can they remote in, and do a job ?
I am honestly curious as I would like to buy the option of permanently disable start stop on mine.

Hmmm, no answer to email request, no phone, no physical shop. Where shall I send my check? What was that saying our parents used to repeat? If it sounds too good to be true…

It is a great surprise to me that you have had negative experiences with Retrofit. I, on the other hand, am positive and happy to be helped.
