Default Actual Height of the Octa in Both Modes

I've researched the height of the Octa online, but I'd like to really confirm from those who have actually have the Octa.
If it's not too much of a bother, the height of the Octa in;
Transit Height and
Access Height.
I use a couple of parking garages, one of which is at a hosptial, of only 6'6"

As I understand, the access mode allows you to lower the vehicle also for this type of situation - lowering and driving into the parking garage. Is this correct?

Thank you

Correct, access height allows you to lower down and drive into tight garages. You can also lock the suspension in access height by holding down the lowering button. The dimensions on Land Rover's official website should mirror the dimensions that can be found on the vehicle dimensions menu on the Pivi screen. Plus, those dimensions listed online are accurate when it comes to the standard Defender. Of course, that doesn't take into account any accessories such as cross bars, larger diameter tires, lift rods, or a roof rack.

This comes directly from JLR. Specs are in normal height. Access height is about two inches lower than standard.

This is great, thank you. This helps a lot and confirms the unofficial numbers I was seeing online.

I would not park in a 6ft 6 garage. Yes you can lower the ride to have 1 inch of clearance. But when you start it up you might accidentally go back to normal height. Seems like a very costly mistake...
I had a metal plate made up on Amazon that gives a 6 ft 8 warning and stuck it on the dash next to the steering wheel. As a reminder of where you can park!

It would be cool to see a height/proximity sensor on the roof pointing up to verify if it's save to leave access height. Although a roof rack would get in the way and introducing a new failure point. It would suck to get stuck in access height due to a fault code.

On the older rovers (at least D2-LR3) they had the height dimensions in different modes, and with the sunroof up! Despite this I have found myself hitting the drop down warning bars.

I have been meaning to measure mine when using the "bump stop" setting in the GAP tool to compare that height to the normal defenders bump stop height.

By pushing the height selector to low, then hold it and it will be locked in the lowest setting.
Untill you reach a certain speed it automatically goes back to the medium setting

I have the air suspension and expedition roof rack. My run of thumb is 7' clearance. There's one garage I use that is listed at 6'9" and I use access (lowest) setting and then park on the roof deck and reselect access to leave. I've still picked up some gouges on the trailing edge of the rack, though.

Height notices at the entrance to garages are rough estimates at best, so I am almost always going to err on the side of caution. There are lots of places in garages where the height is quite a bit lower than the bar at the entrance - sprinkler pipes, illuminated signs, etc.
