Actual Payload for Defenders

Actual Payload for Defenders
One of the big selling points for the Defender vs. other SUV's in it's class are the towing and payload abilities, and LR advertises it as such. So I was expecting between 1600lbs and 1900lbs payload when I got my 130 (per various advertisements and the LR webpage). Indeed the manual says it should have 1880lbs payload, 7450 gvwr - 5570 curb weight for the 8 seater 130. I was very surprised to see the door sticker say it only has 1320lbs payload, exactly 600kg. Now that number being exactly 600kg sets off some alarm bells that they're trying to skirt some kind of tax or something, as no other vehicle (truck) I've had has a nice round payload number like that. I checked 2 other D130's on the dealer lot, both with different options (but both x-dynamic SE) to mine and to each other, and both were also exactly 600kg. So I'm curious what other people are seeing on their door stickers, and why LR advertises such a high number both in adverts and on the online configurator when in actuality it's over 500lbs less. This will affect how much I can load in my 130 while towing, so I plan to weigh it on a certified scale and compare to the gvwr to get the actual payload, but I'm curious what others are seeing on their defenders, be they 90, 110 or 130.

Curb / Kerb weight and GVW are listed here for all 2022 models: https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/.../proc/G2786871
For my P300 110 the curb weight is 4815 lbs and GVW is 6845
You can look up what the limits are for your 130 on the same LR Owner Info site
Then you can figure out if what you mean by payload is GVW

I use my Defender to haul heavy boxes for work. I frequently have 1500 to 2000 pounds in it and it drives fine. Just need to leave a little more space in front of you for longer braking distance. The handling around curves and ramps is far better than our old LR4 when loaded with the same weight. I do have the air suspension that self-levels. I can see where the coil spring suspension may not handle the extra weight as well.

For some reason JLR subtracts max tongue weight on the tow hitch when calculating the number for the door sticker. Can’t figure out why they do that, but rest assured you do have the payload you thought you’d have. Of course if you are towing, you do have to figure tongue weight in as part of your payload as you probably already know.

I was hoping to see what other owners door stickers say, I certainly understand all the published numbers but was wondering why the door sticker is so low comparatively. If it's due to not including trailer tongue weight or roof load or something like that, it'd be nice if it were spelled out somewhere.
