Default Adding a Tow Hitch?

Folks,

I've seen some threads on this question but some date back a bit so wanted to refresh it: what are the options for adding a tow hitch to a 110 that doesn't have one (and roughly how much)?

Thanks!

I have a defender without a hitch and the dealer quoted me close to $5k to do it all (ymmv on dealer pricing) but last I checked (early 2023) there was a back order on some parts needed.

Default Tow Hitch

I paid just over $3000. Installed by Land Rover of Clearwater, Florida.

Top tip for anyone building one and not buying off the lot, or used... add a hitch, it's $700. Once you have to open that rear bumper up to add a hitch later it's $$$$$$$$$

Might want to check in at U-Haul. I heard they are now offering LR hitches.

Interesting, I just looked into it and the cost was ~$1,300 all in. Their site says to allow for 8-12 weeks to have the hitch manufactured. But that's a lot less than some of the LR dealer prices. Finding the perfect car and combo with a hitch has been more challenging that I expected...

^ - the uhaul hitch is also only rated for 5k pounds. It does look very similar to the factory hitch as far as how it mounts though.

This is the reason the dealer told me it was expensive. They have to cut the bumper and refinish it.

Pretty much the same with the front undershield - about 650 on the confoguratof, $2,000+ after you buy.
