Air suspension
HELLO ALL NEW HERE- BE GENTLE
i purchased a 2024 Defender 110 x-dynamic SE. I have struggled with the fact that it has independent suspension and not "air suspension". I do not off-road, but still wondering if it makes sense to have that installed. i got a great deal on the car and its does have very low milage and great amenities and upgrades but not that. I had a Range Rover sport before and I know that is completely different vehicle and ride performance, but i would prefer the experts' opinions here before i make any more decisions. I have been told i don't need them and i have been told OMG you didn't get it with air suspension, i am at a loss....... Best regards to all!!

The Air Suspension gives a really nice ride and gives you some flexibility in terms of clearance when you want it and the ability to squat for low garages, but if you have the coils, I wouldn't sweat it. They actually ride really nice and are in the end much more bulletproof than the air suspension (that much less to go wrong and the aftermarket will be coming out with more and more upgrades for the coil suspension setups as time goes on).
I remember talking to Sarek at Destination Defender and his opinion was that the L663's w/ a coil suspension were going to be the ones everyone would want to have for serious off roading and in 15-20 years when they cease being the cutting edge and become "classic" 4x4's that have a second life getting used hard : )
