Default Alcantara Steering Wheel - Part option

Does anyone know if this can be ordered with the light cloud steering wheel or if it will only come in dark grey? I'm looking into ordering my first LR Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE but I got to sit in a loaded 130 and the alcantara wheel felt awesome. Curious if I could order one and replace it myself?

All Defender steering wheels (other than the OCTA) are finished in Ebony with a choice of different powder-coated trim, either in Dark Grey or Light Cloud (formerly just Light Grey). There are many outlets that sell the Alcantara steering wheel. You will have to swap over the powder-coated trim onto the new steering wheel.

Powerful UK, a highly-reputable vendor out of the UK sells the Alcantara steering wheel and they ship worldwide. Excellent company with fantastic customer service and informative how-to instruction videos. Plus, the company is owned by a great family, as well! I've bought numerous items from them over the years and never have had any issues with any items not have there been any problems having said items shipped to the US.

I ordered the Alcantara steering wheel from Powerful UK and had it swapped. I love the Alcantara, and the dark gray insert goes well with it.They have YouTube instruction videos like others mentioned in this thread and are pretty easy to follow.

The Alcantara looks great when new. On my 22 V8 Carpathian edition, it began to show wear after a year of daily usage.

Thanks for the link. When the time comes I'll order from Powerful UK.

That's my biggest fear with the Alcantara steering wheel.

personally I feel like alcantara is a terrible choice for a daily driver, unless you wear driving gloves or want to be cleaning it regularly. it feels great until it gets dirty, it's almost impossible to keep it looking like new. I wouldn't even run it on a daily driven sports car let alone a defender. I'm currently looking to add paddle shifters to mine, and alcantara is the only factory option, having to go custom to get leather.

Believe it or not, the factory alcantara wheel is inferior to the aftermarket by hunters and powerful. I have the same. The V-8 and my steering wheel was showing wear after only a few months. Swapping out for the hunters aftermarket Alcanterra and I’ve been satisfied over a year now. The disclosure here is I don’t go off road because if you do, alcantara is not the way to go, for sure

You can/should clean the alcantara and it'll literally look like new. I used the Sonax Upholstery and Alcantara cleaner and just followed the instructions. Very simple, although I had to apply it multiple times before the rag came back clean. There are other cleaners. Once per year should be enough, although if you are eating burgers and fries while you drive it'll be more frequent.
