Having dealer install snorkel, ladder and expedition roof rack today on my Defender X.
Go down to Ocracoke island NC a lot and she will be run on beach and thru flooding quite a bit.
They quoted $800 to install Snorkel and said door has to be removed to do it???!!
Anyone been thru this process yet??

“Hello Sir, I shared this with the tech., we do have to follow the manufactures guide lines on this primarily to ensure we get a proper seal at the lower intake, if it doesn’t seal up properly water could get into the intake which will cause a big problem. He showed me in the instructions where you have to remove the door to get everything together a fitted properly, as a dealer we have to follow there instructions. Jim is also our only Accessory installer on these vehicles and is very meticulous to be certain its done as it would be done at the factory level. So the good news it will be done right the first time.”

About what you expected, yeah?
I defend auto manufacturer$ in Lemon Law/breach of warranty ca$e$ $o I under$tand where the dealer$hip i$ coming from. But, if you wanted to do it yourself, I don't think installing a snorkel is the kind of thing that would void your warranty, unless the warranty issue was directly related to the snorkel install.
Not legal advice, just some info for future DIY reference.
