I have the snorkel on my First Edition 110. I like it for the look, I also have the lunchbox (love that name someone came up with) and the ladder so it completes the look I think. Mine came with it installed. Only issue I see is the top cap is attached but loose it seems and I don’t know if that is normal for the design. I am taking it to LR next week and plan to ask them to take a look.

Just remember it's not a real snorkel. It's a raised air intake.

 

No, that's not normal for it to be loose. Ours was loose on our 1st Edition too when we took delivery. They ordered a new set of screws/brackets and now it's tight. It had a recall on it for this exact same thing they told me.

 

I got one on the new build. Originally from NM, and plan some trips out west, my brother is there and we plan on some caravans, so figured it would be useful down rutty dirt roads.

Unless you really intend to drive in conditions where it can help, I would leave it off. Makes you look like a poseur if it’s on a mall crawler, and adds noise and wind resistance. If you actually need it, then of course if makes a lot of sense.

 

@Kencav Did they give you a lead time on the expedition rack when you ordered? My dealer won't until I order from them and they take my payment - i assume I could cancel later if it was months out but they wouldn't even give me an estimate on availability until I committed.

3-4 months...people who got early 2020’s got all their toys.
Im holding off on Snorkel until rack, box etc...come in.
will we a late spring early summer present!
