Default Amazingly capable

Just got back from doing half of the Alpine Loop, Cinnamon pass at 12640'. very little issues and able to ride back in style. I switched out the 20inch rims to the factory 18s with a 1 inch lift and Factory Aus Bullbar with the factory warn zeon winch. never needed it but glad it was there!

I literally just saw the newdefendermods post on IG with your truck! Looks fantastic.

How's cinnamon pass? I am not too far away, but always a little nervous to do a new trail be myself, never know when you may end up needing a pull or tug over or out of something. Looks like just a basic fire road from your pics though.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing! Looks like a beautiful route. Your rig looks badass with the winch and bull bar.

Great pics, glad you're enjoying.

I just find it such a study in human nature that this thread is currently sharing the top of the page with THIS thread:

Newdefendermods from Australia, not for the faint of heart, check with him for current prices. Also installation with winch is quite the ordeal and almost as much as the bar

I feel the same way, but if the weather is clear this trail is no problem as they have plowed to the pass. If raining then could get very dicey very quickly. I did it alone with little traffic so only stopped at the easy parts for some pics. Any 4x4 with somewhat of a lift can do it but lots of rocks and clearance issues at key places and tight steep switchbacks that can be intimidating. The 90 in gravel mode had no issues and made quick work of it and when I got to the eastern side past the switchbacks could easily go to comfort mode. This thing with all the cameras makes the tight areas easy for tire placement and almost like cheating never needing a spotter or passenger assistance. Really great vehicle but a very different animal. The tech really does work and makes it seem easy just have to let it do the work and learn how to use it especially with all the customization possible.
