Default Amazon crossbars - anybody tried them?

Anyone ever tried these?

Amazon crossbars

I'm not doing anything fancy with them. No equipment racks, not tents.... I just need to be able to strap lumber to my roof if it's too long to fit inside the cargo area.

Link goes to SuperOffers.com, not Amazon.

I haven't. I went with frontrunner and have been super pleased...its a very flat rack and handles sheets of 4x8 exceptionally well.

It costs more but I think looks better and provides more flexibility.

I have/bought a cheaper pair from that same seller. Definitely not as nice as brand names. For example the internals are exposed on the inside feet/towers. But it does the job. Has key/lock.

I saw those as well. I liked the track for T bolts since there's no other good anchor points on the roof.

I'm only planning on putting these on when I know I'll need to haul something.

The Amazon bars look like the OEM Thule bars and aren't that much cheaper.

I ended up going with the Thule Wingbar Evo set-up and have been happy.

I don't know if I'd try the $265 bars originally posted by Husky over the $358 OEM bars, but I am quite sure I'd give the $155 bars posted by Notourist a shot.
All of these are silly expensive if you look at it objectively. A pair of cross bars and feet shouldn't run more than $80 max IMO...
