Is Andrew exaggerating ?
Actually - @GHasley - I was at the ABFM All British Field Meet in Portland last weekend (one of if not the largest British car show in US).
JLR trotted out a UX team there with a lttle tent that said JLR on it, some LR schwag and a rather random RHD L460 new Range Rover test mule there in full zebra stripe camo. Not sure why, it was just a garden variety L460. Maybe for attention. And the L460 is what got my attention.
They didn't really ask me for feedback but.. .when in Rome. I went a good 5 minutes on Camping Mode and Pivi improvements with them. I think the woman was responsible for 5 years down the road future tech... but she got it. There was also at the show, a "DEFENDER" JLR product team. JLR had flown in a product specialist who works for JLR (not the local dealer) to hype up L663 130/110/90. They had 3 there. He actually recorded an iPhone video "for his boss in Defender product" of me talking about camping mode in great detail. He thought it was a good point. Mostly because -- they were HAVING TO START AND IDLE THE VEHICLES EVERY HOUR to keep the batteries from dying. Proved my point.

l am willing to bet it would be easy to add "Camping" or "Overlanding" mode with a software update to all the Defenders already sold.
There wouldn't even need to be any new hardware. Just someone's time to design the new piece of software.
