I literally had a potential client call me and ask if he bought his dream defender could I add any option he wanted and it didn't come with it and I said besides the engine, almost anything else can be oem retrofitted with software and or hardware.

He bought his dream defender then I upgraded it to be fully loaded luxurious off reader with all of the bells and whistles. Adaptive Cruise Control, Advanced off road package ATPC, TR2, free wifi Hotspot for life.

I have only had my Defender for a month and I have no idea what it might be missing. It is a 22 X Dynamic SE. I ordered some parts from Hunters Prestige, and I have been watching some of their build videos. Apparently there are a lot of features that just need to be activated. Help me understand this. Why are these not activated from LR? Is there a cost associated? How is it accomplished?

 

These are all oem features JLR deactivated on our vehicles. JLR just want’s you to buy a new car, not update your current car. It’s accompanied because I have the dealership tools. Hi Mark. I’ll text you tomorrow. Have a 2023 SE Dynamic X Defender. I don’t see the controls on the steering wheel for Adaptive Cruise Control. Do the illuminate once programmed?

 

On previous installs, have you seen the new 4.0.1 Pivi software update cancel or write over the changes you were able to make? In other words, deactivate your activations?

 

No. The software updates don't alter the changes I've made. They otas don't deactivate my activations.

 

Yes the buttons are there just unlit. Once I activate them they light up. No hardware needed.

 

Wish you were in Atlanta so I could get adaptive cruise control !

 

Could definitely use some love in south Florida! Coming this way anytime soon?
