Just got the alert this afternoon that the 4.1.4 update was downloaded and available for installation. Estimated time to install was 45 min.

Scheduled it to update while we were out having dinner. Made sure all the windows were up and doors were closed, locked the car by pressing the lock button on the key fob x 2 and heard the horn toot briefly.

When we got done with dinner about an hour later, the car was all updated and PIVI Pro seems to be running fine. Did not have to log back into my profile, it remembered me this time.

Will see if the improvements and bug fixes are any good.

 

Sometimes the map will be lost after the update, and sometimes carplay won't work.

 

I got excited then realized nothing cool was in it. Ha.

 

Updated and now CarPlay sucks, after this gets straightened out I will never do another update... It wasn't broke when I bought it and now it's a crapshoot.

 

interesting! I saw the apple CarPlay stability update and I was excited(haven't updated mine yet, wife has had the car for the weekend) as my apple CarPlay connection is sketchy and randomly disconnects often.

 

if this still occurring for you? this happened a few updates ago for me, and I had to do the PIVI reset for it to be fixed

 

You can activate remember me... so it doesn't ask you for your PIN anymore

 

You can also just uncheck "ask for pin" in the user settings. The last couple updates have changed the PIN settings so I'm getting more familiar with how to shut it off after every update.

I am hoping to get the 4.1.4 update since I have had issues with my audio coming on after I left the vehicle. Two times I parked my truck in my garage (didn't lock it) got out and 30 seconds later my radio started to play. My wife thinks I am losing it and forgetting to turn off the radio, but I have tracked it down to a bug. When I am using Spotify and turn off my truck, as soon as my phone unpairs with the vehicle the audio will switch to the radio unless I have locked the vehicle. Usually this will happen when I am about 10 feet from the vehicle if it is not locked. it is forcing me to lock the vehicle at night when it is in my garage which is not a bad problem.

Has anyone in Chicagoland got the 4.1.4 update notification?
