Default Apology letter?

I recently received an apology letter from a VP of customer service for JLR North America. Arrived via FedEx, single page printed on heavy paper.

”…for the issues you have experienced with your Defender…”

It’s been probably over a year since I have had my 2023 Defender at the dealer for problems, seems odd to receive one now.

Anyone else receive a letter?

Ditto, I second that. Post a copy of the letter you received.

That’s it, exactly the same as the letter I received.

Maybe it's just a preemptive strike! They know the problems are inevitable and they're just covering their bases. We'll all get one when they get around to it.

(For the record, I've had zero problems in 40,000 miles. But it's fun to make sport of JLR reliability anyway. Whistling past the graveyard.)

My experience with the folks in the NA office were always good. I had the issue with my wife's Disco 1 (back in the late 90's, I suspect all the nice folk from then are dead by now), not reliability but availability of parts after a collision. Took a year to get the rear axel case and for a year Land Rover NA gave us a replacement new car, changed out monthly a similar letter and a $500 gift certificate, hats and patches, and the recovery kit. So I was very pleased to get the swag, cars and letter. I would have been less impressed with just a letter. Still have the hat, never wear it, it is white.

Funny the letter does not have a day date, just the month and year.

March 2024, same as the letter I received. Then they waited till Apr 18 to rush it to me via FedEx.
