Default Austin to Whistler

Work said we had to be back in the office in two months so... I'm outty! Have always dreamed of mountain biking to Whistler and wanting to do it on my own bike I figured this was the last chance I would have since PTO would be out of the question with how long it takes.

So far the route has been
  1. Austin
  2. Crested Butte for a week
  3. Santa Barbara for a week
  4. Big Sur one night
  5. Now in SF till Saturday then....
  6. Have a campsite reserved in Humbug on the Oregon coast
  7. Sunday will begin the week in Bend Oregon
  8. And then the following week push to Whistler
If anyone here is in Oregon and bikes please let me know. Would love to bike with some locals.

As part of the push - Port Angeles, Victoria, Cumberland (mountain biking mecca), Comox, Powell River, Vancouver

Wow. Fantastic trip and amazing pictures.

Doesn't look like I'm on your route but if you do find yourself headed to the Eastside of Seattle area, would be cool to see the rig and grab a beer.

What a great adventure.

Its unfortunate you are hitting Oregon as we go through a big heat wave. Your adventure looks pretty amazing though. The ride up to whistler in the summer is not to bad either. Thanks for sharing.

I know it's crazy! I thought I left that behind in Texas. Luckily it looks like there will be some relief by the time I get there next week.

I’m doing a similar trip right now, started in LA and heading up to Whistler. If you have time, stop in Hood River and ride at Post Canyon, Rocky Point near Portland, and Dry Hill in Port Angeles is great as well.
