Or mostly solved? The nearest JLR is almost 2 hours away, so I'm hoping to find a way to do this with my GAP tool since it can't be done OTA (over the air). I'll report out results after I get this done (it may be a LONG wait). If anyone else has experience with it, let me know.
For those of you with the battery drain problems, DEFINITELY talk to your local JLR about "Service Action N811". It only covers Defender 2020-2021. Maybe that is to channel the chaos and later models to come, well, later? Maybe because later MY already have the software update? Ymmv.
I received that letter last week as well...had my dealer do the software update yesterday, took less than an hour, had them do an oil change as well.
They stated that if the software updated didn't completely solve the issue, the next step would be to replace the door module to the latest version, but they have to start with the software and go from there. I never experience the battery drain issue, even when camping.
I did replace my battery last month as it made 2021 in my 2022 110 P300 S as part of my maintenance schedule I like to personally follow. I currently have 85,000 miles on my Defender.
I didn't get this letter, surprisingly. I have a 2021, and even though I haven't had any battery drainage issues, but I'll still call my dealer and see if I'm covered.
Battery drain issue in on almost all year Defenders as far as I know (replaced battery under warranty on my MY23.5) but not sure why it's only for 2021-22MY.
