Battery warranty replacement ?
I've had the low battery warning light for over a year on a 2023 D110 with 22k miles. I called the dealer and asked if they can check it for warranty replacement and they said to bring it in. Wanted to get opinions on whether it's realistically too late to get it replaced under warranty? I'm over 3 years into the warranty. Hope they don't charge me for a service visit as I could put that towards a new battery.
That will be covered under your factory warranty. You're into your third year, you still have time remaining. Your warranty will expire four years from the purchase date or 50k miles, whichever comes first.
There have been numerous posts about owners getting battery replacements, myself included. Apparently these batteries have a very short longevity. Since you have been having these problems for over a year, and you are still under warranty, there should be no problem in getting it swapped out. If they give you any pushback, let them know that you are aware of a known issue with premature failures over many owners.
Like others said, you ill have no issue. When I took my 2023 P400/8k miles in for low battery warning in early this year (March 2025), My dealer mentioned that it's known issue with JLR corp so no flag for replacing battery with them. Also mentioned that replacing a battery is more profitable for dealership than just checking it. =)
One week later invoice € 95 / $ 110.-
3 months later total breakdown out of warranty, replaced with a new one € 168,- / $ 190.-
I did learn from that.
