I am in the process of getting new Black Rhino 18" Alston wheels on my 2022 Defender 110, and the shop at Mainline Overland is a little hesitant to order them because the Rhino website defualts to the 20" wheels when you select them for my model vechicle and does not offer a 18" option.

Has anyone had the Alstons in 18" installed and had to make any modifications to have them fit?

 

Which version defender do you have? If you have a P400, the 18's will not fit over the rear brake calipers without modification. If you have a P300, you shouldn't have any fitment issues with the 18in wheel. There are some threads around here on what options you have to fit 18's on a P400. One entails grinding down some of the casting of the rear brake calipers or replacing them with a slightly smaller version from Lucky8 Offroad.
