I wish I could mount my spare on the hood...I've considered on my roof rack but then it won't fit in the garage.

If I could relocate the spare I would do it in a heartbeat. Not willing to not have a spare, though.

I love the exposed spare; guess its from my Jeep days. One of the few ways to thumb your nose at all the effete, aerodynamic metro-sexual SUVs these days.

External Spares: Burly, not girly.

It's not bad without but I have to agree. The tires and flaps seem to be helping this one.

Extremely hasty Photoshop work but here it is. Zzzzzz. Snooze. Reminds me of a bad resto on an old Series truck where they paint all the galvanized bits with the body color.

If my choice is to have either a rear mounted spare or the titles to a bunch of bad movies, I'm picking the spare. I also think the Defender looks kind of slick with the spare and mount removed but it kind of kills the practicality.

The interesting thing to me about this model was the Bowler 18" wheels. I wasn't aware of these before...

[facepalm] My bad. I periodically forget that not all the fora I visit have a sense of humor. I'll play it straight from now on.

Cheers!
