Default Boot switches illumination

Dear friends,

I just checked out, that of the boot switsches of my L663 Defender just the lower row is illuminated while the upper is not (please see picture below).
I simply thought it's a faulty switch - but yet I've found it on another car as well 😧

Can anybody please confirm this crazy thing with his car or even better tell the story behind this?

Thank you for any support in advance!

My NAS 2021 Defender 110 S has illuminated air suspension buttons in the back. Since we don't get the deployable tow hitch in the US, we don't have the lower row of buttons, but my air suspension buttons are most definitely illuminated.

I went to my dealer yesterday, who defintely estimated this to be a faulty switch until we watched an OCTA having exakt the same behaviour 😧
So maybe this can only be solved, trying to fit US spec switch (@CincyRovers: thank you for the information ) - but I guess this might be cause challenges somewhere else 🙄.

However - I'm not really happy about this kind of savings on 100k car.. but still love it 😉
